Welcome to the official website of the 2009 MECCG World Championship, which will be held in Llinars del Vallès (Barcelona) from July 17 through July 19. Once again players coming from all over the world will gather together to have some fun playing one of the nicest’s card games ever.
Everyone is invited to join the group. The cost to attend this extravaganza is only 10 euro + fees for any sealed events you participate in. All the money will be spent on prizes. All tournaments will have good prizes, and there will be prizes for all assistants.
We have been asked to try to organize a bigger event, more days, more casual games, more fun… Unfortunately it is not possible now to do it at the same place of the main event. For that reason we ask all assistants to write us some more information about their trip, when will they arrive and leave Barcelona (or Girona), this way we can plan some activities to do together, even some casual events if interested. We can also try to find a cheap hostel to stay all together.
NEW PROXY ALLOWANCE RULE
The Council just passed a proxy-allowance rule. Effective immediately, in all COE sanctioned official MECCG tournaments including Worlds:
A deck, sideboard and pool together may contain 10 proxies.
The proxies must be:
- photocopies with readable text
- not being visible from the backside
- be placed upon a MECCG card with the same background as the card would original have.
